Anytime Korean app is a companion mobile application for the Anytime Korean language learning textbook series. The Anytime Korean Textbook Series is an interactive and engaging learning platform. Grounded in proven, effective pedagogic research, the series provides powerful, systematic practices for easily acquiring both spoken and written Korean. Using supplemental audio, video, and online resources -- as well as a mobile application -- the series builds hands-on communication skills and provides Korean language learners with an integrated practice of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Anytime Korean app was developed by Jaemin Roh, Senior Lecturer in Korean for the Department of World Languages & Literatures at Boston University. She is a co-author of the Anytime Korean textbook series Beginning 1 and Beginning 2.

Jaemin Roh’s research interests include acquisition of Korean as a second language, educating Korean heritage and non-heritage students, designing and developing effective and innovative instructional contents, methods, and textbooks specifically focusing on the inclusion of culture. Jaemin has been an author of multiple textbooks and Korean learning material that gained a wide audience since 2005: She is an author and recording studio director of speaking-oriented Korean language learning series Pimsleur Korean 1-3 which have been published both in the United States and in Japan with Simon & Schuster Publishing Company. Jaemin is also an author of popular Korean language textbooks Living Language Series: Beginning Korean (2007) and Living Language: Complete Korean (2013) with Random House Publishing Inc. Her third book Essential Korean Reader (2017) is a novice-high to intermediate level reading textbook published with Routledge Taylor & Francis Group in the U.K. Her most recent book project is Anytime Korean textbook series Beginning 1 and Beginning 2 with Kong & Park Inc. USA (2019) and Contemporary Korean Reader: Cultural readings for Intermediate to Advanced Students (in press, 2020) with Routledge Taylor & Francis Group in UK. Jaemin has been teaching at Boston University since 2003 including her role in the department as Head of Korean Language Program from 2007-2015.
